Japanese illustrator based in Paris. Acrylic, Art Deco, Japanese influences. Pierre Hermé, Piaget, Louis Vuitton, Actes Sud.
Born in 1989 in Aichi, Japan, Yukiko Noritake studies French culture at university, works in the Japanese industry, then decides to leave everything behind to follow her own path. She moves to Paris in 2015, joins the École de Condé, and graduates in 2018. Her final-year project is immediately published by Actes Sud Junior. Since then, her poetic, delicate, and precise world, rendered entirely in acrylic paint, has made its mark in children’s illustration, publishing, packaging, and luxury. Pierre Hermé, Piaget, Louis Vuitton, Isidore Leroy, La Maison du chocolat, Elle, Madame Figaro. Solo exhibition at Galerie Virginie Lesage, Paris, June 2026. Reimagined Art Déco, Japanese touches, 1960s aesthetics — a world like no other.
