Before Martin Martin, there was the atelier of Marguerite—Capucine Martin’s grandmother—on Rue de Tocqueville in Paris. Alongside her sister Paule, she loved reimagining classic garments into far more daring attire, embellished with feathers, pearls, and gold accessories. As a child, Capucine watched this "Ali Baba's cave" unfold.
After several years in London and nights spent under the skies of Burning Man, she returned to Paris with that same desire to collide different worlds. She chose the most sensible piece in the wardrobe as her playground: the blazer. Thus, Martin Martin was born—structured jackets seamlessly merged with embroidery, feathers, color, and theatrical flair.
Even the buttons tell a family story. Those on the very first jackets were inspired by a vintage piece passed down from her grandmother. Capucine had them 3D-replicated and finished in gold lacquer, turning them into one of the house’s signatures.
As for the name Martin Martin, the repetition is entirely intentional: one Martin for day, one Martin for night.
