Found at the Naples flea market: the handle that defines the āim bags.

In a Naples flea market, designer Anna Maria Mongillo stumbles upon an antique bag handle. It would become the signature of āim. After years of designing bags, shoes, and accessories for other brands, the Italian designer launches her own label. In her manufacturer's workshop, she discovers unused leather scraps from surplus production. She decides to turn them into her bags: Olivia, Alice, Mia, or Polly, handcrafted in small, family-run Italian workshops.

In Naples, Anna Maria Mongillo is used to hunting for inspiration in flea markets. One day, amid hundreds of objects, she found an antique bag handle. Its shape captured her imagination, becoming the starting point for her first personal project. Anna Maria was no stranger to accessories; for years, she had designed bags, shoes, and accessories for international brands.

A visit to one of the leather manufacturers she worked with provided the second piece of the puzzle: scraps of beautiful leather, cast aside after production. She salvaged them, designed Olivia, her first model, and āim took shape. Since then, the bags have been crafted in Italy by small, family-run workshops, using surplus leather production. Olivia has since been joined by Alice, Mia, Polly, Leo, and Bonnie, all sharing the same signature handle, fashioned in smooth, suede, or deliberately crinkled leathers.
