Grandmother Marisa’s recipes, the charm of a Parisian bistro, and a Michelin star since 2019.
Italian bistrattoria, Passage des Panoramas, Paris 2nd arrondissement. Chef Simone Tondo. Open since 2007.
Racines opened in 2007 in the historic Passage des Panoramas. At the stoves, Simone Tondo, a Sardinian chef, blends his grandmother Marisa's traditional recipes with the contemporary charm of the Paris bistro. The Fooding guide gives it the singular title of "Bistrattoria". In 2019, the Michelin Guide awards it its first star, the same year Stephanie Crockford, the house hostess, receives the Hostess of the Year prize at the Omnivore festival. A menu inspired by the culinary traditions of Sardinia, Italy, and Paris. Seasonal Italian and French produce. Authentic, honest, robust flavors.
