Borneo Paris almost never happened. The name comes from sailing: in Spanish, borneo is the arc a boat makes of its anchor. Its founder, who grew up in Uruguay, tried to launch the brand in 2019. It didn't take; the project remained a dead file on her desk.
Years later, a conversation among friends in Cassis changed everything. Back in Paris, from an apartment in the 9th arrondissement, she found the makers, chose the fabrics, and crafted the first pieces. Five years and a single conversation in the South were all it took.
The swimsuits are sculpted, handmade in Bali in small batches, using an Italian ECONYL® nylon regenerated from ocean waste, GRS and OEKO-TEX certified. Controlled drops, 1% given back to the planet, and plastic-free packaging. Priced from €87 to €180.
