How do you make a new apartment feel like home? The quest begins with a Traviata lamp and a rosewood armchair from the 1930s.

Born from Morgane Sézalory’s love for vintage long before Sézane was created, Les Composantes is today the Art de Vivre line of the house. Here, lighting, furniture, rugs, tableware, and vintage finds live side by side.

Before Sézane, there was Les Composantes.

Twenty years ago, Morgane Sézalory began hunting for and selling vintage pieces online. She called her early curations Les Composantes. In 2013, this venture paved the way for Sézane, the very first French fashion brand born online. Two decades later, the name returns to its first love: beautiful objects and pieces with a past.

Relaunched in 2023 as Sézane’s Art de Vivre line, Les Composantes now brings this art of blending past and present into the home. Lighting, rugs, cushions, tableware, candles, and decorative pieces sit alongside a selection of vintage furniture and objects, updated every Tuesday.

It is this vintage curation that makes the project so compelling. A Traviata sconce might appear just clicks away from a 1930s Art Deco wardrobe, a 1970s Italian travertine table, or an antique armchair. These found pieces often bear the marks of their previous lives; some are carefully restored in France before being offered for sale.
