Most of us love to discover new places, people, and vastly different lifestyles. To immerse ourselves in diverse worlds and see what it truly feels like to live there. In a bath, at the edge of a Canadian forest. Let us forget borders and discover a brand that has been by my side for several years now.

Estée Lalonde grew up in Southern Ontario, among forests and lakes, before moving to London at just 19 years old. The change of scenery was radical, and homesickness eventually crept all the way into her bathroom. Deprived of that daily closeness with water and nature, she fell into the habit of taking long baths. The idea stayed with her for the next ten years as she built her career as a content creator.

Then came 2020. Estée shares that after a decade of creating content almost daily, she only realized how exhausted she was when the world stopped. During lockdown, she began taking a bath every single day—sometimes to think, sometimes simply to escape what was happening outside for a brief moment. MIRROR WATER was born from this ritual, finally launching in 2022.

Even its scent takes you back to Canada. For Sun Through Trees, Estée wanted something evocative of a walk in the woods: cedarwood, bergamot, Canadian black spruce, and above all, vetiver—a note she had discovered years earlier through a cologne worn by a man in her life. When she shared the final formula with her friend Rebecca, Rebecca told her it smelled exactly like Estée and her apartment.
