At Sant Roch, sauna and hot-cold baths become a natural part of the Parisian morning routine.

In New York, Chloé Bouscatel discovered contrast therapy, falling in love with the extreme shift from scorching sauna to ice bath. Back in Paris, she created Sant Roch: a club to sweat, shiver, and, in the process, reset.

Fascinated by the real talks of life partners @seibel and @chaumetclotilde, I follow the duo's new ventures closely. The latest additions: a sweet baby and a brand-new method built around breathwork, movement, and sensory immersion.

I’m not talking about a post-nightclubbing routine, nor about performing at HYROX, but rather about shifting from "always more" to "recovering better." Above all, it’s a ritual that is collective, freeform, or guided. Up to 90°C in the sauna, then 5 to 10°C in the cold plunge, interspersed with breathwork and recovery.

The backstory…

Before Sant Roch, Chloé and Jules Bouscatel had already made Paris sweat. With Monday Sports Club, they developed Dynamo, Punch, and RIISE: spinning in the dark, boxing, yoga, and Pilates. Then the tempo shifted. In New York, on the verge of burnout, Chloé discovered contrast therapy at Othership: sauna, ice bath, breathwork, and repeat.

The future Sant Roch is setting up right opposite the Tuileries. Even before having a final name, they threw a demolition party: investors and early community members were invited to break down the walls themselves. One hundred and twenty people answered the call in less than thirty minutes. A curious way to initiate a space dedicated to stillness.

As for the name, the street is Saint-Roch, and the saint was historically associated with the sick and invoked during plagues. The founders simply dropped the "i" to get Sant Roch, then put the name to a community vote. It won.

4–8 rue Saint-Roch, 75001 Paris, right next to the Tuileries Garden. The space is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM.
