Pan After was born from the meeting of two Melbourne stores, After Store and Tractor Home, specializing in African craftsmanship, brought together as one by mother and daughter Mandy and Phoebe Munro. For more than fifteen years, they have traveled the world in search of handmade objects, ethically made and carrying a story: Xhosa baskets woven from Cape reeds, papier-mâché, antique textiles, ceramics, books, linens, candles, accessories. Each piece is chosen for what it says, about who made it, how, and why.
