Merci is arguably Paris's most iconic concept store. Founded in 2009 by Bernard and Marie-France Cohen, the visionaries behind the Bonpoint brand, it pioneered a new way of shopping: a stunning space where profits, beyond operating costs, are donated to a foundation supporting underprivileged women and children, beginning in Madagascar.

At 111 boulevard Beaumarchais, in the Haut-Marais, its 1,500 square meters seamlessly blend fashion, home linens, furniture, tableware, and beauty alongside a café, a canteen, a cinema, and a kitchen garden. A deliberate hybridization, where wandering is as encouraged as shopping. It is less a curator of objects than a "questioner of meaning," as described by the press. Sixteen years on, the brand has opened its second location on rue de Richelieu.
