PMU is the new place to be.
A neo-dive on Rue des Goncourt. The best fries in the 11th. The whole of Paris came there to slum it.
Two friends, Bertrand Chauveau in the kitchen and Paul Henri on the floor, have brought this corner of the 11th back to life with a setting that revives the codes of the classic corner bistro: mosaic tile, green velvet, retro zinc, pinball machine. At lunch on the weekday set menu, a kitchen that stirs bistro nostalgia: cucumber with cream, Basque-style hake, floating island. In the evening, small plates and a wine bar. What brings people in, and brings them back: the plate and its value for money. And the fries, straight into the top 3 of Paris's best.
