Charms crafted in Cairo, to keep close to your heart.

Dinah Morsy was already making her own jewelry. In her final year of high school, she unthreaded the beads from a t-shirt to craft a pair of earrings for prom. After three and a half years in high-end interior architecture, notably at Laura Gonzalez, she returned to one of her home countries, Egypt, and its rich craftsmanship. Indeed, Yedein means "the two hands" in Arabic: those that shape and those that pass down. In Cairo, she has her jewelry crafted, hunts for antique beads, and collects protective symbols. Saada means happiness, Horeya freedom, and the scarab watches over its wearer. It is a way of knocking on wood, without the wood.

Dinah Morsy was in her final year of high school when she salvaged beads from an old t-shirt to craft her very first piece of jewelry; she never really stopped creating since. A few years later, following three and a half years working at luxury interior design agencies—most notably with Laura Gonzalez—she chose to return to Egypt, one of her ancestral homelands, in search of craftsmanship, tradition, and symbols she could pass down in a new way. The name came almost naturally: Yedein, meaning “two hands” in Arabic, the hands that craft, connect, and carry a story from one generation to the next.

In Cairo, Dinah sources antique beads and has her creations crafted and assembled; silver, steatite, and Egyptian glass become the canvas for a small collection of contemporary talismans. The names themselves offer quiet clues: Saada means “happiness”, Horeya “freedom,” while the scarab, worn as an amulet since antiquity, symbolizes protection, transformation, and rebirth. Some clients take these properties beautifully to heart: one shares that she wore her necklaces on her first day back from maternity leave as a good luck charm; another writes to Dinah that her Amal necklace “worked,” bringing her a job offer the very next day.
