Sometimes I don't mean to. I dream of you. In percale hotel sheets.

Percale for a crisp, cool sleep; satin for a silky touch. Bonsoirs crafts them using long-staple cotton, at 120 and 200 threads per square centimeter, bringing the exquisite feel of a luxury hotel bed into your home. Since 2017, sheets, duvets, towels, and table linens have followed.

"Tonight
I brushed against you
In sheets
With character
A crisp percale
My skin listening
My eyes closed."

Swept by a wave of questions, feverish with sleep and passion, I sent this message to the one who was no longer there. My thoughts were in turmoil, struck by something in those unwrinkled sheets. The magic I searched for so desperately lay in what I was avoiding. A man who seemed painful, yet harmonious. Sheets that my thirties urged me to return to after midnight, and to leave as early as possible.

Perhaps it is time to find our way back to the paths of sleep, to the warmth that lingers deep within the body, to cheeks flushed by the magic of a night or a quieted heart. Doesn't happiness always hide somewhere, just at the corner of the pillow?

Percale or satin? The former is matte, light, and crisp; the latter, denser, is soft, silky, and enveloping. At Bonsoirs, this means 120 threads/cm² for percale and 200 for satin, always crafted from long-staple cotton. In 2017, Nicolas Morschl set out to make this high-end bed linen truly accessible.

To find the perfect weave, he consulted over forty suppliers, gathering so many samples over the months that his apartment, by his own admission, began to look like a laundry. He even organized blind tests before making his final choice. Today, the percale and satin are mostly crafted in France, but also in India, while the French linen is woven in Portugal.

Sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases have since made room for towels, bathrobes, and other home textiles. All that remains is to choose your side: a crisp bedroom in percale, or a five-star night in satin.

And as for happiness, Bonsoirs lends a hand. Cosily.
