Essentials for Zula is a family affair. This father-daughter duo crafts swimwear, lingerie, and women’s basics in their own small family factory. The Austro-Thai designer grew up in her father’s textile workshop; those mornings spent watching him cut fabric sparked an early love for the craft. Blending her father's precision with her mother's style, she founded the brand in 2015 from a single room that served as studio, showroom, office, and bedroom.
The name? Zula, an invented feminine name chosen for its singularity, a blank slate to build everything from nothing. Today, Delie splits her time between Vienna and Bangkok, sewing alongside her father and a close-knit team of six artisans.
Every detail is designed to eliminate waste: made-to-order production, "Tetris-style" cutting to minimize scraps, GOTS-certified cotton, AZO-free dyes, and rice paper packaging. The brand champions radical transparency, operating its own workshop aligned with the standards of the International Labour Organization.
