Set across two neighboring houses on the Keizersgracht, including a former 17th-century family home, Carmen deliberately blurs the lines between guesthouse, home, boutique, and kitchen. Guests are welcomed into spaces that truly invite life: a living room with a fireplace and vinyl records, a library for reading by the canal, a kitchen with a fridge restocked daily, and a hidden garden for morning coffee. The entire house can even be privatized for gatherings with family or friends.
Then, there is the boutique. Here too, rather than a mere accumulation of things, Carmen curates a world: Sophie Buhai, Extreme Cashmere, Baserange, Martiniano, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, FANE, Tekla, RIER, alongside books, jewelry, homeware, and pieces designed by Carmen herself.
The kitchen follows the same philosophy: breakfast, lunch, coffee, and pastries are served with a quiet, domestic touch, featuring a menu inspired by travels, childhood memories, and shared meals.
