Audo Copenhagen was born in June 2023 from the merger of two iconic Danish houses, MENU, founded by Bjarne Hansen, and By Lassen, guardian of the legacy of architects Mogens and Flemming Lassen. Together, they gather more than a century of Scandinavian design under one name. Audo comes from the Latin Ab Uno Disce Omnes, "from one, learn all." Audo House, opened in 2019 in Nordhavn in a former trading post from 1918, is its physical expression: a historic building transformed by Norm Architects and Nathan Williams of Kinfolk into a hybrid place, café, restaurant, boutique, workspace, hotel residences, and headquarters. A living showroom where Audo furniture and lighting are discovered in spaces that are lived in.
