Alessandro Florio was born in Taormina, Sicily. He entered the art world through tattooing, until the day, at the Louvre, before the old masters, he understood that he had to work on a larger scale. His works explore the bond between place, memory, and perception, rooted in the Mediterranean landscape and shaped by the Byzantine mosaics and frescoes of his island.
