Anouk Biard grew up in the south of France, between auction rooms and flea markets, with her antique-dealer grandmother. Her studio in the 9th arrondissement bears the trace: a Josef Hoffmann chair, an Art Deco display case, sculpted 1940s lights, bottles of essential oils. After working for fashion houses, she practices kobido, an ancestral Japanese massage technique, in a wholly bespoke, holistic approach. The approach changes with each face: light, quick gestures to energize the complexion, slow, deep movements to drain. The result: a lifted face, a wider gaze, a luminous complexion.
